[When the video starts off there are several machine-like parts on the ground. Most of them seem to be painted pink. There are sounds that sound awfully like someone building something-- and sighing.]

[The voice belongs to Kira who's trying to build a Haro for Lacus. As a birthday present. Now while he's good with technology he's not really good at making new things. Fixing them sure, but making something from a scratch -- not so much. It doesn't help that the sources around here are pretty limited.

It doesn't mean he can't try.

More sounds. Parts being lifted up from the ground. Parts floating in the air.

[Ah, that explains it. The parts fall down with a crash and the scene continues.

It seems that Kira is really unaware he's being filmed until the moment the gear is actually brought into his view. Say hi?]

-- Eevee, please don't play with that- it's filming? [There goes the surprised. Kira looks a bit confused and awkward.] This is just an experiment of sorts.

[He'll just shut the gear now as he's not really sure what he should say.]

That's strange. I though the ones Athrun made were the only ones... unless you've seen Lacus before. She has a lot of them with her.

I've spoken to Lacus before, but she was Haro-less at the time. I wasn't expecting to hear of one here.

I didn't expect anyone else to know Haro. Could it be they exist in different world... or that you're from the same world but from a different time?

There's an easy way to check for that. Know who the Vagan are?

Vagan...? No.

Then you're either from far in my world's past or from a different world entirely. Otherwise you'd at least know of them from history books.

Mm. It could be that Haro's were manufactured in the future... but it could also be that they exist in different worlds.

Though... have your heard of PLANT or ZAFT?

PLANT or ZAFT... No, neither of those terms are familiar to me at all. Unless you mean normal, leafy plants.

Ah... no. PLANT is the name we've given our colonies and ZAFT is their army.

There's a major difference right there. Our colonies share their army with the planet itself.

[Except the Mars colonies.]

For us... it's more the difference between our "races" and that's why we have two different armies.

...That sounds more like the situation between the whole Earth Sphere and Vagan. A lot more like it, as a matter of fact.

You mentioned Vagan earlier... may I ask what it is?

Vagan is the name the Mars colonists took when they were abandoned by the Federation. I have no idea where it comes from.

Abandoned. An illness called the Mars Ray Disease killed 20% of the original colonists, so the Federation government declared it a complete loss and withdrew all support.

That's horrible. To think a government would do that...

They even covered up the whole operation. Not exactly their proudest moment.

I can understand why the Mars colonies would be against them, after something like that.

So can I. But all the war did was kill more people from both sides.

Yes. War is not a solution for anything. It can only bring more despair.

It took way too long before people started to get sick of it.
