2nd | Text/Action for traveling group

[Kira has been in this world for almost a month now. There has been quite a few questions in his mind for some time now. He could ask most of the questions over the network, but today there's only one question in his mind that he's curious about.

So have an open question for anyone and everyone over the network:]

What are you fighting for?

(ooc: Just a warning that tags for all of my characters (Shiraishi, Takuto, Ren, Aidou, Kira) might be few to nonexistent from Friday to Sunday.)

In general. This place, like many other places, has situations where you're made to choose what you're fighting for. The answer isn't always simple. Of course you may choose to not fight at all or you might not able to.

These days I'm fighting because a small army of critters wakes me up at six in the morning to train. If there's another reason for us to battle in this world, I haven't found it yet.

With luck you might never need find the other reason, but it's always good to be prepared.

There's always the option of trying to become the best trainer around, like the locals want us to do. But I don't feel like it at the moment.

The title of a Pokémon master. I don't really see myself trying to achieve it either. At least, not right now.

Besides, whoever earns it will spend the rest of their stay dealing with challengers or rivals. That'd get old fast.

Yes, I agree. It's not really the kind of life I'd wish for anyone.

[Then again, he'd just enjoy a nice cottage in a peaceful place with the ones he loves.]

I can think of plenty of people who'd enjoy it while it lasts, but I have better things to do with my time.

Mm. There are people who enjoy battling for the sake of showing how strong they are.

Once in a while it can be nice to show off, but not too often. You might get in trouble if everyone knows what to expect from you.

If you spend too much time in the spotlight people will know everything, or at least most, about you and how you do things. And even if you would come up with something knew, people would learn of it sooner or later.

And then you're done for when you actually need to take people by surprise. None of that for me.

It is a good tactic sometimes, but I can see why one wouldn't like that.

I've seen too many people get injured or killed when they became too predictable. It tends to leave a bad taste in one's mouth.

I think I know what you mean. Have you fought in your world, then?

A few times. Even civillian ships risk getting attacked, these days. When that happens, everyone pitches in.

Is there a war going on? Do inform me if I ask too many questions. I'm just curious as that sounds like a difficult situation and a bit like the situation we had at home.

It's alright. This war has been going on for so long, talking about it is almost like discussing the weather. I just hope yours isn't as bad.

Right now we've fortunately managed to talk about peace in our world. We're not completely there yet, but we've been working hard for the goal.

"Not completely there yet" is still much better than anything we've ever managed.
